Abstract

Novel techniques have been developed for the application of micromachining techniques to the fabrication of millimeter and submillimeter wave components for space based receivers and radar systems. These techniques may permit significant reductions in costs of fabrication. Also, design cycles and system development may be accelerated. These techniques are compatible with the fabrication of linear and two-dimensional arrays of components, opening up new possibilities for space based millimeter wave systems.
