Mid¿ Technology Corporation proposes fast valve technology for fuel injection. Fast valves will have wide spread impact in both military and commercial sectors. The proposed technology leverages a highly efficient gained smart materials device with anappropriate valve and injector design. Together the components enable fast accurate control of fuel injection quantities. By design, the proposed fuel injector concept will provide switched modes of engine operation, depending on the scenario: be it lean, for ultimate fuel efficiency; clean, for reduced emissions; or mean, for improved battlefield capability.
