Abstract

Mission Research Corporation (MRC) proposes a program for the design and demonstration of a radiation-hardened advanced pipeline analog-to-digital converter suitable for space and terrestrial applications. Phase II activities include optimization andevaluation of a suitable amplifier, fabrication and evaluation of pipeline stage components, and fabrication and evaluation of an advanced analog-to-digital converter (AADC) prototype. The proposal is based on combining a low power 1.5-bit pipelinearchitecture with MRC's proprietary hardened-by-design (HBD) techniques and novel circuit design concepts. This effort will result in the development of a radiation-hardened AADC to meet DOD requirements for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance(ISR) systems.
