Abstract

The proposed project will continue development of programs for real time forecast of electrodynamic parameters in the high-latitude ionosphere. Predictive programs will give forecasts and nowcasts of ionospheric electric fields, currents, Joule heating,auroral oval, and the associated geomagnetic effects, based on the real time measurements of the solar wind and interplanetary magnetic field from a satellite at the L1 orbit.
