Abstract
The U.S. Army has for many decades met the challenge of utilizing SIGINT and COMINT to control the battle space for America and its coalition partners. This has been achieved despite continuous changes in the nature of threats to the warfighter as well as rapid advances in technology. In the era of Network-Centric Operations the Army is again challenged with a new interoperability paradigm. Modus Operandi’s innovative approach for enabling service oriented architectures in legacy Army C4ISR systems addresses these challenges. The Keystone Toolset will build a path between legacy systems and the Global Information Grid to control the SIGINT and COMINT battlespace well into the 21st century.
