Abstract
In 2005 Mustang Technology Group completed the Fuze Air-to-Surface Technology (FAST) program on which we developed and tested a highly-successful next-generation proximity sensor. This technology is not currently available to certain munitions (Small Diameter Bomb (SDB)) and submunitions that require enhanced proximity sensor performance in extremely small form factors. The purpose of the proposed effort is to design, fabricate and test key components for a proximity sensor that will fit in a form-factor less that 4.3 cubic inches to extend the capabilities of FAST to very small form factor munitions and submuntions.
