Abstract
In this Phase I STTR proposal we present the research plan to demonstrate the feasibility of a continuously reconfigurable, photonically-connected FPGA-like system. BENEFIT: The proposed research and development is expected to result in new classes of reconfigurable photonics which will enable revolutionary expressions of pervasive morphability in warfighting systems of relevance to Air Force interests. The proposed device will also find application in commercial fiber-optic systems, where light buffers of the type to be produced are still lacking.
