Abstract
The proposed effort will produce a small disposable device for continuous, noninvasive monitoring of blood pressure and blood oxygen saturation that provides continuous data and is resistant to motion artifacts and placement errors that confound use of existing monitoring devices in far forward or other dynamic environments. The device incorporates proprietary sensor technology and adaptive signal processing techniques in a small form factor device that will provide a valuable new tool for triage and management of trauma victims by first responders, when a number of victims must be managed at the same time.
