Photonic routing and distribution offer new opportunities for digital and analog RF signal transport over optical fiber networks. Core utilities for adopting optical fiber systems are speed, bandwidth, and reliability. NuWaves’ proposal addresses the need for a high-performance, high density, low loss, fiber optic rotary joint (FORJ), which offers low weight, minimum working volume, immunity to EMI, and reliable fault free rotation.
