Abstract
The use of UAVs has rapidly increased in the last several years. Commercially available technology has provided a means for exposing military and civilian personnel to advanced threats. The radar cross-sections of these platforms has also been drastically reduced through the use of composites. Oceanit proposes an electro-optical system to identify, track, small UAVs under 1-meter wingspan with sufficient accuracy to direct a high power laser to neutralize threat UAVs and their sensors. The system will provide 50 microradian pointing accuracy for small UAVs at ranges greater than 1 kilometer.
