ENVIRONMENTAL OPTIMIZATION FOR PLANT GROWTH IN GREEN- HOUSES REQUIRES TWO MAJOR COMPONENTS: A COMPUTERIZED, INTERACTION ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL SYSTEM AND PLANT GROWTH MODELS TO BE USED AS A BASIS FOR THE CONTROL STRATEGY. A COMPUTERIZED ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL SYSTEM HAS BEEN DEVEL- OPED; SUPPORT IS PROVIDED TO OBTAIN PLANT GROWTH OPTIMI- ZATION INFORMATION. COMMERCIAL IMPLEMENTATION OF THIS WORK SHOULD BE IMMECIATE, SINCE THE MAJOR FACTOR LIMITING COMMERCIAL INTRODUCTION OF COMPUTERIZED ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL SYSTEMS IS THE LACK OF RESEARCH DATA THAT WILL ALLOW ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL SYSTEMS IS THE LACK OF RE- SEARCH DATA THAT WILL ALLOW ENVIRONMENTAL OPTIMIZATION.
