Abstract
In this SBIR proposal, Orora Design Technologies proposes to develop a behavioral modeling centric automated design flow and supporting CAD tools for radiation-hardened mixed-signal electronic systems. A hierarchical approach will be developed to facilitate the analysis and synthesis of mixed-signal circuits and systems, where devices and circuits are described in various abstraction levels using behavioral modeling languages. Tools for automatic extraction of behavioral models for rad-hard mixed-signal circuits will be developed, which will not only account for ideal behaviors, but also second-order effects such as nonlinearity and parasitic-induced noises. A systematic and adaptive optimization strategy will be developed to support hierarchical top-down synthesis through joint topology selection and device sizing under radiation, physical, and electrical constraints. The proposed tools will be fully integrated with commercial EDA design environments and demonstrated on realistic military radiation harden electonic circuit design.
