Abstract
DUE TO THE IMPROVED MECHNICAL PROPERTIES AND DURABILITY OF POLYMER CONCRETE MATERIALS, THERE IS A LOT OF INTEREST IN INTHE HIGHWAY COMMUNITY FOR USE OF THESE MATERIALS FOR PAV PAVEMENT APPLICATIONS. BUT THERE IS NO INFORMATION AVAILABLEABOUT ITS APPLICATION FOR AIRPORT RUNWAY USE. PANDALAI COATINGS COMPANY PROPOSES TO TAKE UP A STUDY OF POLYMER CONCRETE MATERIALS TO EVALUATE ITS FEASIBILITY AS AN OVERLAYON AIRPORT RUNWAYS. AFTER A THOROUGH LITERATURE STUDY, FORM ULATION AND EVALUATION OF SEVERAL POLYMER CONCRETE MATERIALSWILL BE CONDUCTED, DURING THE FIRST PHASE OF THE PROGRAM. A MORE DETAILED TEST PROGRAM WOULD BE INMPLEMENTED FOR THE SECOND PHASE OF THE PROJECT. SELECTION OF CANDIDATE FORMURM ULATIONS AND FIELD TESTING WILL BE PERFORMED AT THE END OF THE SECOND PHASE.
