Abstract
The objective of this program is the study of the feasibility and an analysis of the scientific and technical merit of using a nanotemplate, developed by Phoebus Optoelectronics LLC and it academic collaborators, to electrochemically grow II-VI/II-VI semiconductor quantum wire heterostructures (QRHS), specifically CdTe/CdS for LWIR and CdTe/CdSe for MWIR and LWIR sensing applications. These structures and materials will be used to fabricate superior performing and more cost effective forward-looking multiwavelength IR focal plane arrays (FPA). Increased optoelectronic integration leading to increased performance and decreased costs are expected.
