Abstract
Phoenix Integration, Inc. proposes a 6 month design and feasibility study to investigate application of innovative software techniques toward an integrated program for the design and analysis of combat weapon subsystems. There is a recognized deficiency in the area of compatible ship design modules that allow weapon system concepts to be quickly configured and analyzed. A modeling and analysis tool that offers the designer a graphical, interactive capability for creating shipboard subsystems can reduce the time and cost of a development project. Furthermore, a better understanding of the total system can be gained from a modeling and analysis tool that can create multiple subsystems and show the integration between each element. The initial scope of this work lies in the conceptual level modeling of subsystems to allow for rapid system configuration and quick design analysis turn-around time.
