Abstract
This program will develop a modern simulation tool to predict RF interactions (attenuation, diffraction, reflection, Doppler and backscatter) with missile exhaust plumes. The tool will be based, in part, on methodologies contained with the currently available PARCS(Plume Attenuated Cross Section) code. PARCS will be upgraded and reconfigured to include a Maxwell's equation solver. A number of limitations of the PARCS code will be addressed and new capabilities added. These capabilites include the ability to compute telemetry attenuation with absorption and diffraction, bistatic cross section, and polarization effects.
