Abstract
A method for detecting disbonds using transient thermography is proposed. Novel excitation methods promise to provide a sensitive technique for detecting disbonds in aluminum tongue and groove structures. The instrument resulting from the proposed research and development effort will be low cost and portable to insure that it can be easily deployed to repair and inspection depots.
