RNET Technologies, Inc., (RNET), a small business located in Dayton, OH, is responding to the STTR in collaboration with Prof. Bradley Duncan and Prof. Joe Haus of the University of Dayton (UD). The solicitation states that the objective of this STTR is to develop sub-aperture based EO imaging systems capable of being near conformal and of compensating for atmospheric effects. It also states that high efficiency non-mechanical, or micromechanical, steering of the field of view of the sub-apertures should be used. RNET is submitting this proposal since UD has already developed a sub-aperture based imaging system that can be transitioned to RNET. The goal of this proposal is to further develop this UD system so that it will meet all the stated Air Force requirements. A compute board that will facilitate real-time calculations and system control will be designed in Phase I and developed in Phase II.
