Abstract
THIS RESEARCH PROPOSES CONSTRUCTION OF TWO PIECES OF APPARATUS THAT WILL FACILITATE THE SEQUENCING OF DNA MOLECULES AT TWO DISTINCT PHASES OF THE SEQUENCING PROCESS. RON-TRON HAS DESIGNED A SYSTEM THAT WILL AUTOMATE SANGER SEQUENCING AND THAT CAN INITIATE UP TO 100 REACTIONS IN FOURHOURS' TIME. THIS UNIT WILL BE EASILY AFFORDABLE TO BOTH SMALL AND LARGE LABORATORIES. FURTHERMORE, RON-TRON PROPOSES TO MANUFACTURE A LOW-COST GEL READER. AS DESIGNED,THIS GEL READER WILL GREATLY AUGMENT THE AMOUNT OF INFORMATION WHICH CAN BE OBTAINED FROM AUTODIOGRAPHS.
