Abstract
RT Logic's S-Band/L-Band IQ (SLIQ) Modulator/Demodulator and SEAKR Engineering's Re-Configurable Computing (RCC) technology can be leveraged to field a Programmable Satellite Transceiver (PST). A PST offers the promise of increased interoperability with both SGLS and USB ground assets, as well as support for other satellite communications links such as TDRSS. The SLIQ uses direct RF conversion techniques and supports the SGSL and USB waveforms using FPGA-based digital signal processing. The RCC provides the programmable flight processing platform that allows the PST to support existing waveforms, while being reconfigurable to support future waveforms that may be more spectrally efficient. Building the PST around the SLIQ/RCC technology offers the flexibility and programmability needed for future spacecraft and other high-altitude systems. * Information listed above is at the time of submission. *
