Abstract
SEO PROPOSES A PHASE I STUDY PROGRAM TO ASSESS THE FEASIBILITY OF A RADIATION HARD Q-SWITCHED ND:CR:GSGG FIBER LASER FOR USE IN A FIBER OPTICS ORDNANCE SYSTEM. SEO WILL IMPROVE COUPLING EFFICIENCY BETWEEN THE INITIATOR AND OPTICAL FIBERS AND ALSO IMPROVE IONIZATION RESISTANCE TO NUCELAR WEAPONS EFFECTS.
