Abstract

A global positioning system (GPS) jammer, homing guidance system (i.e. Seeker) will be fabricated, ground tested, and flight tested. The Seeker consists of radio frequency sensors, a digital signal processor, and algorithms for homing and guidance. We will deliver Seeker systems to the Air Force that are capable of homing a submunition (i.e. small UAV) to GPS jammers. The program includes UAV flight testing of the Seeker to demonstrate and quantify the system’s homing performance. The Seeker will detect multiple jammers, determine the number of jammers and their directions, sort multiple jammers, select a jammer for homing, and generate steering commands for a small UAV. The Seeker can home to both narrowband and wideband jammers.
