Abstract
This effort is focussed toward improvements in efficiency-bandwidth performance of electrically small antennas derived from innovative electromagnetic meta-material designs. Optimizations are sought that approach and/or exceed the conventional Chu-Wheeler limit. Emphasis includes consideration of special design and construction techniques and relative compatibilities with advanced planar/conformal composite aerospace material technology to be used in future Naval aircraft.
