Abstract
We propose a model of the target-ground interaction which is comprised of three key components. First, we model the sensitivity of specific voxels/pixels/bins to change in reflectance via response functions. Second, we utilize the response function as an interpolation tool to post process various candidate surface reflectance, including Rayleigh roughness for surface height < 1cm. Third, the Kirchoff approximation for the directional spread of RCS energy is used in conjunction with reciprocity. These tools enable the post processing of predicted signatures to accomodate various ground behavior.
