Abstract
ADHESIVES CURRENTLYUSED ON AIRPORT PAVEMTNS FOR LIGHTING /ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS HAVE DIFICIENCIES, AND INNOVATIVE USE OF OTHER ADHESIVE COMPOUNDS, OR MATERIALS, THAT WOULD PROVIDE IMPROVED PALCEMENT QUALITIES, AND INCREASED ADHESIONCHARATERISTICS WITH ASPHALTIC MATERIALS IS NEEDED. THIS PROPOSED PROGRAM WOULD AID IN DEFINING THE PROBLEM QUANTITATIVELY, ESTABLISH PERFORMANCE CRITERIA FOR THE ADHESIVES, AND IDENTIFY ALTER NATE MATERIALS THROUGH SCREENING, EVALUATION, AND MO MODIFICATION OF COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE ADHESIVE RESIN SYSTEMS.
