Abstract

Systems & Processes Engineering Corp. (SPEC) proposes to apply a Taguchi Design of Experiments analysis to phased array antenna transmit/receive (T/R) modules. Large numbers of T/R modules are used in a phased array antenna and they have demanding specifications. By applying the appropriate statistical techniques as defined by Design of Experiments, the cost of each module can be reduced while the electrical performance is actually improved. Our proposed program includes working with several phased array antenna and T/R module producers to insure our analysis contains the latest cost and performance numbers as well as insuring that the results are used to reduce T/R module cost.
