Abstract
ALL DOD COMPONENTS, AND THE NAVY IN THIS PARTICULAR CASE, HAVE A NEED FOR MUNITIONS WHICH RESIST INITIATION EXCEPT IN THE NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES OF USAGE. THE POTENTIAL OF CRYSTALLINE EXPLOSIVE COMPOUNDS, SOLID SOLUTION EXPLOSIVES, IMPACT-ENERGY-ABSORBING BINDERS, HEAT SINK INGREDIENTS, STABLE AND INSENSITIVE OXIDIZERS AND PLASTICIZERS, ENCAPSULATIONS, AND COATINGS WILL BE EVALUATED.
