Abstract
In this effort, Technology Service Corporation (TSC) will develop and demonstrate a radar-based technique to enhance the rapid detection and location of buried land mines. An acoustic signal energizes resonant modes in buried mines, and those sympatheticvibrations are detected by the radar. The innovation proposed is to use modern beamforming technology to simultaneously observe signals over a wide ground area.
