Abstract
TIAX,LLC proposes to develop a non-aqueous electrolyte formulation that will enable Lithium-ion batteries to deliver high power and achieve long operational life across an extended temperature range from -40 ºC to 70 ºC, and will also provide enhanced safety for these batteries. This will be accomplished by formulating a novel combination of salt and solvents chosen so as to achieve specific benefits already known to be yielded by the individual components while negating each other's deficiencies.
