TIAX proposes to address the challenges of compensation for magnetic clutter by integrating magnetometers, accelerometers, gyros, and supporting electronics including an embedded processor and algorithms. TIAX will build on our existing sensor technology and extend it to provide for a simplified field compensation procedure. TIAX will use our sensor simulator as the basis for developing the new algorithms and evaluating the hardware requirements for implementation. The analysis performed during the Phase I period will lay the groundwork for the architecture development of the sensor system during the Option period. This work will set the stage for a hardware development program during Phase II that will advance the concept to TRL 4.
