Abstract
GPS, while an integral part of modern guidance and communcation systems, is extremely vulnerable to disruption by radio frequency interference (RFI). On flight test platforms, telemetry and data link signals severely degrade the performance of GPSreceivers. Toyon Research Corporation proposes to solve this problem by using our proprietary toolkit to design an antenna with a reception pattern shaped to mitigate interference. We will build on the results of our successful Phase I study to design andconstruct an anti-RFI antenna that is a drop-in replacement for existing GPS antennas. A flight test-ready prototype antenna will be developed by the end of this effort.
