Abstract
THE PROGRAM WILL: 1) ASSIST TWO NATIVE YOUTH COUNCILS ESTABLISH AND SUCCESSFULLY OPERATE RECYCLING PROJECTS, 2) DEVELOP A TRAINING MANUAL FOR ORGANIZING AND OPERATING A RECYCLING PROJECT, AND TRAIN YOUTH IN ITS USE SO THEY CAN SUCCESSFULLY IMPLEMENT IT IN THEIR OWN COMMUNITIES, 3) TRAIN EARTH AMBASSADORS TO BE TRAINERS AND DEVELOP THE RESOURCES THEY NEED TO CONDUCT TRAINING FOR FUTURE CLASSES OF EARTH AMBASSADORS ON A FOR PROFIT BASIS, 4) DEVELOP A MANUAL FOR THE EARTH AMBASSADORS TO FOLLOW IN PLANNING AND CARRYING OUT THEIR TRAINING ACTIVITIES, 5) DESIGN, PRODUCE AND MARKET A LINE OF EARTH AMBASSADOR MERCHANDISE WHICH CAN BE SOLD BY THE EARTH AMBASSADORS AND OTHER YOUTH ORGANIZATIONS-PRIMARILY THOSE YOUTH COUNCILS WHICH ARE AFFILIATED WITH UNITY THROUGH THE NATIONAL UNITY COUNCIL (NUCO), 6) DEVELOP A MANUAL TO ASSIST YOUTH SELL THE EARTH AMBASSADOR MERCHANDISE, AND 7) RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES FOR EXPANDING THE EARTH AMBASSADOR TRAINING PROGRAM TO NON-NATIVE CLIENTS.
