Abstract
THERE IS A NEED FOR HIGH SPEED EXTRACTION OF USEFUL INFORMATION FROM VARIOUS SENSORS IN TACTICAL SITUATIONS. CURRENT APPROACHES ARE SLOW, INACCURATE AND REQUIRE EXCESSIVE MEMORY FILES. THE PROPOSED PROJECT DEFINES AN INNOVATIVE SYSTEM WHICH PROVIDES IMPROVEMENTS OVER EXISTING TECHNIQUES THROUGH USE OF CONTINUAL OUTPUT, VARIABLE MESSAGELENGTH, ADAPTIVE MATCH CRITERIA TECHNIQUES. THE STUDY WILL PROVIDE REQUIREMENTS DEFINITION, PRELIMINARY SYSTEM DESIGN AND SYSTEMS APPLICATION STUDY FOR A SYSTEM WHICH USES A PATENTED CORRELATOR. MILITARY APPLICATIONS INCLUDE COMMUNICATIONS, ELECTRONIC WARFARE, OPTICAL DEVICES, PROGRAMMING APPLICATIONS, RADAR AND SONAR.
