Abstract
Mission assured networking (MAN) is a capability for mapping mission tasks to information technology (IT) resources in a highly dynamic environment where both tasks and resources change rapidly. Autonomic MAN would permit such task-resource allocations to be performed in a bottom-up decentralized manner with limited need for human intervention. Highly granular task priorities should be accommodated. Everything is dynamic and a decentralized collaborative peer-to-peer model is the only way forward in a net-centric warfare environment. We propose a dynamic decentralized resource allocation methodology for creating MAN-enabled systems.
