Research Institution
A series of coating formulations will be developed and refined during this Phase II Program which are capable of photooxidizing and decontaminating a variety of CW and TIC chemical compounds. A significant feature of these coatings is that they will be reasonably maintainence - free; requiring only air and visible light irradiation to function efficiently. Furthermore, preliminary results obtained in the previous Phase I Program suggest that the photocatalyst employed in these coatings is reasonably stable, maintaining its efficacy with use. Finally at the completion of this Phase II Program, an MGPTS small shelter will be assembled from General Purpose Shelter Fabric treated with this Photocatalyst composition.
