Abstract
VERAC, INCORPORATED PROPOSES TO CONDUCT A RESEARCH PROGRAM WHICH WILL DEFINE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR AN AUTOMATIC PERCEPTION SYSTEM WHICH WILL SUPPORT NASA MISSION PLANNING AND FLIGHT CONTROL FOR THE SPACE STATION AND SPACE SHUTTLE. MODERN METHODS FROM COMPUTER AIDED PATTERN RECOGNITION SUCH AS ARTIFICIAL NEURAL SYSTEMS, CORTICAL THOUGHT THEORY, AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE WILL BE APPLIED TO THE PROBLEM OF UNCONSTRAINEDAUTOMATIC SPEECH RECOGNITION AND VISION.
