Abstract
IN PHASE I, E-TEK WILL ANALYZE, DESIGN AND OPTIMIZE TWO INNOVATIVE WIDE BAND IR-EO MODULATORS FOR COUNTER-MEASURE SYSTEMS. THESE TWO INNOVATIVE IR-EO MODULATORS PROVIDE 1 \ 5 UM MODULATION BANDWIDTH, > 10 W THROUGHPUT POWER, 20 - 2000 HZ MODULATION RATE, < 1 US AGILITY TIME AND SMALL SIZE/LIGHT WEIGHT. WITH E-TEK'S MANY YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN DEVELOPING INTEGRATED OPTICAL DEVICES, HIGH DAMAGE THRESHOLD NONLINEAR EO MATERIAL, HIGH FREQUENCY EOM, COMPUTER-AIDED MODELING AND SOPHISTICATED PACKAGE DESIGN, PHASE I INVESTIGATION WILL LEAD DIRECTLY TO PHASE II HARDWARE IMPLEMENTATION, EVALUATION AND DEMONSTRATION.
