Abstract
The Multi Function Sensor System addresses the needs of the shipboard Damage Control mission to provide front line assessment of vessel compartments and spaces that may be compromised by hazardous and life threatening conditions. The Multifunction Sensor (MFS) in conjunction with the Remote Monitor Unit is capable of providing wireless transmission of critical situational, hazardous material, and environmental condition status and information to enhance situational awareness and effect emergency response measures without compromising the lives of the Damage Control teams.
