Abstract
Modern real-time systems have become evolved to complex systems comprised of an complex orchestra of distributed applications. Access to data from members of dissimilar and distributed applications is difficult but required to understand state, manage, and dynamically adapt. These modern systems expand capabilities but add burden to operate, maintain, and analyzecounter to the need to reduce costs and personnel. FishEye Softwares has unique technology that searches within applications to catalog and capture domain-specific data of interest and then distribute and unlock it through a service oriented architecture (SOA) in a self-subscribing format. The innovative technology:allows domain-experts and end-users to analyze and modify applications in the domains language and without software programmingreduces real-time data capture and analysis tool costsdecouples publisher and subscriber easing integration and configuration of applications from differing companies, platforms, and/or product life cyclesprovides tool improving survivability through dynamic, adaptive resource managementreduces operation and maintenance personnel need through automated decisions Phase 1 demonstrated Minimally Intrusive Real-Time Software Instrumentation Technologies including the domain-specific catalog and capturing application performance data. Phase II increases the capability to analyze and manage distributed systems with complex event processing, establishes decoupled open service oriented communication, and refinements for expanding commercialization.
