Abstract
We propose engineering models and incorporate them into Excel spreadsheet to evaluate the effects of ballistic and blast loadings on vehicle armors. The models are developed in innovative ways and run fast but maintain first-order accuracy. The software can be used to screen the design solutions fast so that detailed finite element analysis are conducted when necessary. The software has a friendly interface and easy to use. The software will be expanded and validated by additional test data or detailed finite element analysis in Phase II.
