Abstract
Physical Optics Corporation (POC) proposes to advance the development in Phase II of the new Electric and Magnetic Photonic Sensor (EMPHOS) system technology. In Phase I POC has conclusively demonstrated the feasibility of EMPHOS for enabling autonomous UAV navigation in the presence of power lines. To validate the EMPHOS system design, POC built and tested a proof-of-concept prototype compatible with current Army fielded small electric-powered UAVs physical configurations and operational requirements.
