Abstract
Accurate Automation Corporation proposes to develop a system for a self-contained missile launchable RF Generator based on a frozen wave transmission line technique. The RF transmission line will be charged through an optically activated switch fabricated from silicon carbide. A high energy pulsed laser with an electronic timing control will connect to the switch via an optical fiber. A high voltage series resonant DC supply will provide the charge for the transmission line. Battery power will be used as the prime power supply for the laser and DC source. The transmission line will drive a dielectric loaded helical antenna optimized for high gain and small form factor.
