Abstract
The US Army has invested heavily in systems, such as Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A), that provide intelligence analysts with a wealth of information originating from a wide variety of sources and sensors. As the number of sources and sensors grows, however, so does the potential for duplication and contradiction, which can slow intelligence analysis or lead to intelligence failures. We propose to develop a toolset to help analysts quickly detect and repair data integrity problems in intelligence data. The proposed research offers both a practical solution to achieving data integrity in vast amounts of intelligence data and a solid theoretical basis for future work.
