Abstract
The objective of the proposed research effort is to develop and fully characterize an innovative approach to solid rocket motor propellant that will enable improved performance and advanced energy management for missile defense interceptors. In this proposal, Exquadrum presents a highly flexible and adaptable approach to the control of rocket motors, including throttleablity and multiple cycles of extinguishment and restart. During the proposed program, the propellant will be developed and then characterized across a wide range of chamber pressures. The final formulation will be experimentally demonstrated in a multiple pulse, hot-fire test series.
