Abstract
ABSTRACT: Alameda Applied Sciences Corp proposes to develop a fast pulse, portable, fast neutron source to detect IED in the field. Our source offers a <10ns neutron pulse with a repetition rate up to 100Hz. The Ph II program will address engineering and scale up from the Phase I system to a useful prototype for detecting IEDs in the field. BENEFIT: The commercial goal is to develop a replacement to existing neutron tube sources for applications that benefit from an intense, fast neutron pulse.
