AbstractThe major goal of this Phase II effort is to develop an embedded CLBT process force/sustainment flow analysis system that supports a tight integration between sustainment and force flows at the ISB. The general technical approach of the proposed IFAS2 (Integrated Force And Sustainment Flow Analysis System) is to exploit a distributed workflow framework augmented with a Bayes Net probability network to represent the processes and the interprocess dependencies. Within this framework, sustainment flows would be dynamically adjusted to support force flow. The Bayes Net would provide the means to determine second and third order impacts from changes in force flow structures, coordinate their implications, and predict probabilities for adequate sustainment support. Within this framework, CSS soldiers can identify risk threshold and use the Bayes Nets to isolate the impacts within the distribution framework. . We shall leverage heavily from Chi System's CDAS (Commander's Decision Aide System) to provide Map, mobility, and terrain servicing analyses. We shall initial begin development on class V supplies due to the availability of data sets, but extend to other supply classes as data become available. In addition, we shall initially focus on ISB related force and sustainment flows with extensions based on program requirements.
