Abstract
ACTA Inc. and Los Alamos National Laboratory propose to develop a high fidelity physics based modeling and simulation toolset for use in evaluating the hazards and consequences associated with hypergol fuel accidents for use in missile defense applications. Los Alamos' CartaBlanca multi-physics code will be evaluated to determine its ability to model both small leaks (resulting in ppm toxic releases of a fuel or oxidizer) and large leak (resulting in turbulent mixing of hypergol fuel and oxidizer)leading to toxic releases, fireballs and/or explosions.
