Abstract
Aculight Corporation, together with Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (LMMFC), proposes a novel system approach that uses a mature 3D imaging laser radar (LADAR) design and leverages existing 3D image processing algorithms to meet the needs for an autonomous, real-time, 3D change detection system. The LADAR imaging system usies a compact, eye-safe, high-peak power, short pulse fiber laser with proven scanning LADAR technology. The LADAR imaging system is capable of generating 3D images at a distance of >350 m with less than 10 cm range precision.
