THE PHASE I EFFORT WILL CONSIST OF DEVELOPING A DETAILED DEFINITION OF THE PROPOSED CONCEPTS FOLLOWED BY AN OPTIMIZED DESIGN AND PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF PROOF-OF-PRINCIPLE HARDWARE. CERTAIN SUBCOMPONENT PROTOTYPING AND DEVELOPMENT WILL ALSO BE PERFORMED DURING PHASE I. ANTICIPATED BENEFITS/POTENTIAL COMMERCIAL APPLICATIONS OF THE RESEARCH OR DEVELOPMENT.
