Abstract
THE PURPOSE OF THE PHASE I EFFORT IS TO ESTABLISH THE TECHN ICAL MERIT AND FEASIBILITY OF USING VOICE MESSAGING TECH NOLOGY AS A VEHICLE FOR CONDUCTING SEMINARS. THE HYPOTHESIS OF THE STUDY IS: USING VOICE MESSAGING TECHNOLOGY, IT IS POSSIBLE TO DEVELOP AN EFFECTIVE SEMINAR PROGRAM FOR THE DELIVERY OF COST EFFECTIVE GUIDELINES AND ALTERNATIVE SOLUTIONS TO SMALL BUSINESSES IN PROVIDING AND MEETING THE CHALLENGE OF ATTENDANT CARE FOR HANDICAPPED INDIVIDUALS IN THE WORK ENVIRONMENT. AEI'S WORK PLAN INCLUDES; (1) DEVELOP MENT OF A VOICE MESSAGING "CONVENIENCE" SEMINAR PROTOTYPE FOR SMALL BUSINESS ENTREPRENEURS, TO BE SUPPLEMENTED WITH A WRITTEN PROGRAM GUIDE AND A SOUNDING BOARD PANEL OF ON -CALL EXPERTS; (2) OPERATION OF A FOUR TO SIX WEEK PILOT OF THE SEMINAR PROTOTYPE; (3) EVALUATION OF THE TECHNICAL MERIT AND FEASIBILITY OF INTEGRATING VOICE MESSAGINT TECHN OLOGY WITH THE SEMINAR PROGRAM; AND 94) IDENTIFICATION OF OLOGY WITH THE SEMINAR PROGRAM; AND 4)IDENFICATION OF SPECIFIC POSSIBILITIES OF PROSPECTIVE CAPITAL COMMITMENTS FOR COMMERCIAL APPLICATIONS. ONCE SHOWN TO HAVE TECHNICAL MERIT AND FEASIBILITY, AEI ANTICIPATES, DURING PHASE II: (1) DEVELOPING A COMPREHENSIVE SEMINAR SERIES, AND (2) EXPANDINGTHE SEMINAR PROGRAM TO REACH A NATIONWIDE AUDIENCE.
